Protests rage on across world after Israel reduces Gaza hospital to rubble

Hundreds of anti-Zionist Jewish protesters occupied a building of the US Congress, urging lawmakers and President Joe Bidens administration to push for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Protests rage on across the world following Israels killing of hundreds of Palestinians during a single strike against a hospital in the Gaza Strip, which the occupying regime has brought under a relentless war.

More than 500 people lost their lives in the Israeli airstrike against al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City on Tuesday. Thousands of Palestinians were present at the facility when the attack took place.

Numerous world leaders have vehemently denounced the massacre. Major cities across the world have also turned into the scene of angry demonstrations against Tel Avivs indiscriminate campaign of bloodshed and destruction against the Palestinian territory.

Not in our name

On Wednesday, hundreds of protesters occupied a building of the US Congress, urging lawmakers and President Joe Bidens administration to push for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Dressed in black T-shirts emblazoned with the words "Jews say cease-fire now" and "Not in our name," the activists sat on the floor in the rotunda of the Cannon House Office building and held up large banners that read "Ceasefire" and "Let Gaza Live."

Capitol police said protests were not allowed inside the building and several demonstrators were rounded up.

The protest had been organized by the Jewish Voice for Peace, an anti-Zionist organization.

Before the sit-in, hundreds of people had converged on the National Mall near the Capitol, urging the Biden administration to call for a ceasefire.

Stop genocide!

The City University of New York (CUNY)s students and teachers also gathered for a pro-Palestinian rally near the Empire State Building at 34th Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan.

Signs with slogans such as "Stop Genocide!" and "Stop US Aid to Israel," floated above protesters heads at the demonstration, with participants chanting, "Free, free Palestine."

Elsewhere across the world, pro-Palestinian supporters held a vigil in Romes Piazza della Repubblica, protesting the Israeli regimes war of aggression.

In Berlin, several hundred protesters gathered in support of Palestinians, chanting "Free Palestine" and "Stop the genocide," outside the Foreign Ministrys building before being dispersed by police.

People, meanwhile, took part in a demonstration organized by the Lebanese resistance movement of Hezbollah, in the southern suburbs of Beirut in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

A large number of Italians held a vigil in Rome on Wednesday.

Demonstrators gathered in Romes Piazza della Repubblica and protested against the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip.

Protests were also held outside the Israeli and US consulates in Istanbul to show solidarity with Palestinians.

"Allahu Akbar. They are not alone, we are with them," says Ebru Demir, a 37-year-old mother of two.

"Palestinian people are not only numbers. Its time for you to wake up Europe, dont teach us about human rights," 19-year-old Egyptian student Mahmoud Atif says.

In Havana, some 300 Cubans and Palestinians condemned the hospital bombing during a rally held in support of Gaza in the Cuban capital.

Jordanians rallied in the streets of Amman in support of Palestinians. Many protesters attempted to storm the Israeli embassy in Amman after the deadly Gaza hospital strike.
